Get Chartered

Chartered Chemical Engineer is considered the gold standard qualification for the process engineering profession, and proves your competence to employers and clients. The annual IChemE Salary Survey consistently shows that Chartered Chemical Engineers earn significantly more than their non-Chartered peers of the same age. See the Salary Survey to find out more.

IChemE is the only organisation able to award Chartered Chemical Engineer status globally. In order to qualify you must demonstrate that you have the minimum required level of education and training, and professional experience, through an independent peer review.

Preparation is the key to success, and it helps to show employers that you are planning to get Chartered when you go to interviews for placements and graduate jobs. Visit to learn more.
